![]() ![]() To connect to an Oracle database using a 64-bit client, you need to have a compatible 64-bit Oracle client installed on your machine. You can download and install one from Oracle's website. To configure your connection settings, go to Session > New Connection or click the New Connection button on the toolbar. You can enter your connection details manually or use a TNS alias if you have one defined in your tnsnames.ora file. To explore and manage your database objects, use the Schema Browser window on the left side of the main window. You can browse by object type, schema or favorites, and perform various actions such as create, edit, drop, compile, export or import. To write and execute SQL statements and PL/SQL scripts, use the Editor window on the right side of the main window. You can use code templates, syntax highlighting, code completion, code analysis, debugging and testing tools to enhance your productivity and code quality. To optimize your SQL statements, use the SQL Optimizer feature that can rewrite your SQL queries to find alternative versions that run faster in the database. You can access it from Tools > SQL Optimizer or click the Optimize Current SQL button on the toolbar.
